Budget cuts often target arts programs. Maintaining current arts programming will take the support of the entire community. Your help is needed to continue to provide students with quality arts experiences and create broader awareness and support for arts education. Every child deserves a well rounded education that includes the arts.
If you are a teacher, please join this effort by participating in the “Teachers Write for the Arts” letter writing campaign. Please write a letter to the editor of The Plain Dealer in support of arts education. Make sure to mention the artist and arts organization that provided the program.
Click here for a link to the PD and write your letter online or fax your letter to the Plain Dealer at 216.999.6209.
Teachers can make a big impact in creating awareness around the arts and learning. Email us a copy of your letter to publish in the Art is Education E-Newsletter.
