The Cleveland Association of Black Storytellers (CABS) is a non-profit cultural organization whose purpose is to perpetuate the oral tradition of storytelling. They are storytellers, writers, poets, musicians, doll makers, teachers, librarians and more, who seek to use the African Oral Tradition to pass our cultural heritage, history and social values from one generation to another. Everything we do in the modern world is connected to story, and the more adept we are at telling stories, the more connected our society will be as it relates to all forms of communication.
